I adore this restaurant! They have superb food, they have a rich menu, The chef in that restaurant is very trained, I like very much tasting all their dishes. The food is always of high qualtity, the attitude towards the visitors is very good too. I often eat in this restaurant and I not even once was unhappy. I recommend this place.

Great place, cozy decor, feel like you are in a small fishing town, food is great. Been taking my kids here for 20 years for clam chowder and bread....Also, have had several types of the fish and were fresh and well cooked. Family owned quick service too!

My wife and I love this place. The food, service and music are great. The clam chowder soup is the best. I really love the “Honey Pecan Crusted Salmon”. Even the tartar sauce is the best around. Plus, the prices are very reasonable.

Been coming here for 20+ years. Halibut is my go to. Wonderful clam chowder. Best wait staf, the owner, lol.

Always enjoy this place, very friendly owner and good fresh fish. Yummy clam chowder. I like the private style booths, but they have tables too. Vintage nautical theme decor.

Food is good and service is excellent but part of the dining experience is atmosphere. The decor is definitely dated and thats fine, but the smell of the old carpet and dusty fixtures takes away from the aroma of the food. Old decor is fine, dirty, musty smelling decor.... no.

Gone to this ( my favorate fish restaurant ) since 2004. Best fish chowder and my favorite Calamari. John & his wife are the best.

Good food, price a little higher than expected, really old appearance that doesn't look like anything has been done for decades. Depressing atmosphere!

Fresh! I had the halibut fish and chips and they were super yummy. I loved the cole slaw with juicy raisins. Very affordable for what you get.

The servers and owners were so friendly I couldn’t believe I was still in California. Everything is homemade, and delicious. A ton of food for the price, and it was all very very good. Nice homey atmosphere. Will absolutely be going here again, can’t recommend enough.

Very little clams in the clam chowder. Sea bass was over cooked and tasted dry. The prices were a little high. The rest of the food was okay but we probably won't go back unless the prices go down.

The best fish restaurant in Huntington Beach. Hands down. Been going here for years. Family owned and serves their patrons! What a menu! And large portions. Best clam chowder on the planet. Can't say enough about "Catch of the Day"!

Really nice owners and wait staff. Decor is dated and a bit tacky, but gives it an old time feel. Food is decent, cheap for sea food, but nothing spectacular

Decent little family run place that has been here for years, husband and wife team. The fish is always fresh and we'll prepared. No points for decor, but I'm more interested in what's on my plate versus what is on the walls, and the food is good here.

We have been coming here for years. They have, by far, the best, freshest fish in the entire area. You can pay much more, or go to someplace fancy, or you can have the best at Jim’s restaurant. My favorite is the macadamia crusted halibut.. it is to die for. Service is family owned superb.

Small family owned restaurant with fresh seafood and more. Great service, great food! Very reasonably priced also. I don’t normally write reviews but Catch of the Day was just so extraordinary that I had to spread the word. My family absolutely loved it.

Oh man, It was Thursday night and we were looking for a great burger place, some place new n fun. This place is pretty awesome. The service was fast and the burger was big and juicy. Can't complain.

Place and people have been here a long time, but quality fish, great service and reasonable prices. Accidental find and will return again soon.

owners are engaging people. food was 7/10, honestly. but it seemed like they really wanted your meal to be perfect.

We read the reviews and came in with high expectations. We were not disappointed. From the friendly greeting and helpful tips on the menu, to the cozy atmosphere and beautiful decor, and finally the amazing food, we had a wonderful time! If you want fresh food and a great experience you need to give this place a try.

Great food fast service and friendly staff.

We went here on the 26th of July 2019 me my mom and my brothers, the food is all very good quality, just remember the portion sizes are slightly larger than you’d expect so keep that in mind. Staff and service was excellent I recommend you eat here

Finally stopped into this place for dinner about few weeks ago. It's been on my places to try list for quite awhile. Apparently, they've been there for 30 yrs +/-, but they are new to us.The food & service were great, establishment was in good condition. It was a little dark, but had that old family joint vibe.Will visit again.

The owners are wonderful and accommodating! Try The Captain's Platter! You won't be disappointed! Other dishes the family had and loved the salmon and coconut shrimp!

Family owned, very small place, food is absolutely delicious!!! The only thing I can recommend is that they hire a waitress because right now it's is the husband and wife and sometimes you have a really long wait. Patients and time is something you need when eating here! Other than that I cannot complain it is very, very good and their food is very fresh you couldn't ask for a better place! It looks like a little hole in the wall,sitting in a strip mall and if you can find it then you will love it!!! It's not something the tourists are going to find but if they ever do, watch out, this place will never have an empty seat and locals....look out! Thanks for the food! It was fantabulous!!! However, you really could use some help!!!😲

One of the most delicious establishments I have visited in the last 20 years...always greeted with smiles...a very friendly staff...outstanding. I don't visit often enough!
